The South Lyon Area Historical Society is 100% volunteer based; we have no paid staff.  Everyone who has worked with the SLAHS has done so out of a love of our community and history.   There is always work to be done toward preservation of local history such as:

• Docent

• Flower gardening

• Scanning images/working with archives

• Historical presentations/programs

• Special events coordinator

• Assisting with museum displays

• Depot Day volunteer

• Local history research

• Assisting with tours

• Interior building cleaning

• Facility maintenance

• Social media and website
